No. Conversion happens entirely inside your browser and your photo is never sent anywhere. Personal photos, ID scans and documents are safe.
Which formats are supported?+

Why won't my iPhone HEIC photo open?+
HEIC is the high-efficiency format iPhones shoot in by default. Older Windows versions, legacy apps and some websites can't read it. Convert to JPG and it opens anywhere.
Will conversion hurt the quality?+
Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP are lossy, but at the 'Auto' quality (85%) differences are practically invisible in photos. Pick 'High' for printing or archiving.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?+
PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG has no transparency support, so transparent areas are filled with white.
Is there a file size limit?+
No server limits. Processing uses your device's memory, so smartphone photos (a few to tens of MB) are no problem.
Can I convert multiple photos at once?+

Which format should I choose?
JPG is the universal standard that opens on virtually every device, app and website — choose it when compatibility matters most: submissions, older software, forum attachments. For photographic images it offers the best balance of size and quality.
PNG is lossless and supports transparency — the right pick for logos, icons, screenshots and text-heavy images. WebP is the modern web format, 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, ideal for images you'll publish on a website. In short: JPG to open anywhere, PNG for graphics and transparency, WebP for the web.
Why are HEIC photos such a problem?
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) — half the size of JPG at the same quality. Great inside the Apple ecosystem, but the moment a photo leaves it, trouble starts: older Windows versions, legacy Photoshop, government and school upload portals, and some Android devices simply can't open HEIC.

How does this tool work?
It uses the image processing built into your browser (the Canvas API). Typical online converters upload your photo to their servers; this tool finishes the whole conversion on your device instead.
